Hester Peirce of the SEC says there must be room for error in new stablecoin regulations

Commissioner Hester Peirce — also known as the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SECs) “crypto mom” — has backed a regulatory framework for stablecoins that allows “room for there to be failure.”

Talking at an online conference PanelPeirce was invited to speak on behalf of crypto at the OMFIF’s May 12 event. He has been a long-standing advocate for the use of cryptocurrency and was asked about the U.S. regulation.
