Emirates Airline, the national flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates and the largest airline in the world, has become the latest big name to announce plans to add “ as a payment service.”

Emirates Airline Accepts Bitcoin

Emirates Airline, the flag carrier of the UAE has announced its intention to adopt advanced digital solutions. It will also accept Bitcoin payments. This was just a month after Emirates Airline entered the metaverse.

Emirates Airlines has adopted Bitcoin as part of its strategy to communicate with customers faster and more easily.

Emirates Airline is also interested in NFTs or the Metaverse

Emirates Airline Chief Operating Officer, Adel Ahmed Al Redha explained that Emirates Airline based out of Dubai would hire new employees with NFT and metaverse knowledge as part of efforts to create applications to meet customer demands.

He added that “NFTs and the metaverse are two different applications that we are interested in.”

Al-Redha explained further that blockchain technology would be used to aid in the tracking of aircraft records.
