WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – U.S. Vice-President Kamala Harris stated that the United States is experiencing “an epidemic” of hatred after an 18 year-old white gunman killed 10 people at a supermarket in a Black area of Upstate New York.

Harris released a statement Sunday saying that while law enforcement continues its investigation, “Law enforcement” is evident in Harris’s statements.

“Racially motivated hate crimes and acts of violent extremism harm all of us,” she said.
