BOSTON (Reuters), – Institutional Shareholders Services, a proxy advisory firm, recommended Monday that McDonald’s Corp. shareholders vote to elect the directors of McDonald’s Corp. instead of activist investor Carl Icahn.

In a Monday morning report, ISS stated that “The dissident camp has not made a sufficient argument, on an issue specific or broader view ESG, for the immediate replacement of incumbent director is necessary at the moment.”

Icahn is appealing to shareholders to nominate his directors for the board. This will hold Icahn accountable for the promises it made a decade back to not buy pork from companies that use gestation cages.
