NEW DELHI, (Reuters) – India’s wholesale inflation rate accelerated from 14.55% to 15.08% in April, and is still at double digits in the thirteenth consecutive month, according to government data on Tuesday.

According to Refinitiv data, April’s number was the highest ever since April 2005 and more than 14% predicted in a Reuters poll.

Oil prices were up by 38.66% compared with 34.52% in March.
