India stocks up at the close of trade. Nifty 50 is up 2.633%Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (NS:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 0.17% or 1.25 point to close at 734.25. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (NS:) added 0.40% or 15.60 points to end at 3,904.00 and Shree Cements Ltd. (NS): was up 0.544%, or 119.15 point to 22,100.00.
Top performers in the BSE Sensex 30 include Tata Steel Ltd. (BO) who rose 7.62% at 1,188.35 and Reliance Industries Ltd. (BO) which was up 4.26% at 2,530.70, ITC Ltd. (BO) which increased 4.15% at 264.60.
Nestle India Ltd., which rose 0.59% to 16314.60 by late trade (BO), HDFC Bank Ltd.(BO:), which increased 0.69% to close at 1,314.05, and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.. (BO), which rose 0.71% to 892.05 after the close.
In India, declining stocks were outnumbered by rising ones, 1605-161 to 241 and 25, respectively. 25 ended unchanged on Bombay Stock Exchange. 2527 rose, 699 fell, while 121 ended unaffected.
