(Reuters] – SpaceX by billionaire Elon Musk is set to be the US’s most valuable startup after its value rose to $125 million in an ongoing share sale on the secondary market. According to sources, Reuters.

These shares are priced at $72 and have risen in value from October last year, when SpaceX shares were purchased at $56 each after a 10-1/1 split, and the rocket company was valued at $100 billion.

According to one source, although no new shares were issued as part of the secondary offering, the company did indicate to investors that it may do so in the future.

SpaceX’s share sale may be worth more than $125 billion. This is in addition to Stripe, a fintech company that was previously valued at $115 million.

Private companies with high valuations often offer shares on the secondary market in order to provide liquidity to early investors or employees.

Reuters was unable to determine if SpaceX’s Chief Executive Elon Musk, who holds 44% of SpaceX shares and signed a $44B deal for the acquisition, had been notified. Twitter Inc (NYSE:) are also among the sellers. Musk, who is also chief executive at Tesla (NASDAQ) Inc. SpaceX has not yet responded to Reuters’ request for comment. The New York Post reported the first news about the private placement Monday.

According to regulatory filings, SpaceX raised $1.16 billion equity financing in April and $337.4 millions in December in capital-intensive businesses.

In the growing constellation of commercial rocket-launch ventures, SpaceX competes against former Amazon.com (NASDAQ) CEO Jeff Bezos and his Blue Origin space venture. SpaceX launched many cargo payloads and astronauts into the International Space Station (NASA) for this purpose, including 19 launches in the last year.
