LOS ANGELES (Reuters), – Johnny Depp, Amber Heard and other actors are suing one another for defamation. Each claim that they were abused in their two-year marriage. This case will be heard by a Virginia jury, and it is expected that the hearings will continue until late May.

Here are some key points from the trial thus far.

Depp said that he had never hit Heard, or any other women. Depp said that she was the victim of abuse and bullied him by using demeaning names.

They offered different accounts of a 2015 dispute in Australia where Depp was filming the fifth installment of “Pirates of the Caribbean”.

Depp claimed that Heard tossed a vodka glass at him, causing a severe injury to his right thumb. Depp claimed that he was in shock after Heard threw a vodka bottle at him, causing bleeding to his finger.

Heard sob as she revealed to the jury that Depp had sexually assaulted and inserted a bottle of liquor into her vagina. She stated, “I was scared.” He was just married to me.”

Heard stated that Depp had broken Heard’s nose and tore off chunks of her hair after another violent encounter.

Heard’s attorneys presented photographs that showed her injuries from various arguments. These included visible scars on her right arm as she took photos on a red carpet. Also, redness and swelling around the eye she claimed was hit by Depp’s phone. Depp’s attorney showed photos from public appearances. They said they were taken at the same time as their fights. The images appeared to be uninjured and Heard suggested that she had altered the photos to emphasize the redness. Heard stated that the photos were not altered.

Depp stated that the couple had feces in their bed in 2016 Heard claimed that Heard had told him the incident was a “horrible practical joke.” Heard said that Heard was innocent and suggested that one of his dogs might be responsible.

Heard’s lawyers presented text messages to Depp, in which Depp called Heard filthy and claimed he wants her dead.

Depp, in writing to Paul Bettany (2013-05-01) said that “Let’s drowne her before we set her ablaze” and then “I will make sure her corpse is fucked afterward.”
