© Reuters New Activity Seen On Address Linked To Ronin Network Attack- Wu Blockchain announced via Twitter (NYSE:) May 18, that an address associated with the Ronin Network attacker had just transferred 5505.7 Ethereum.
- On March 13, 2022, the bridge connecting the Ronin Network and the mainnet was exploited.
- The Treasury’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) added the wallets linked to Lazarus to its list of sanctions.
Twitter user, Wu Blockchain, announced on Twitter on May 18 that “the address related to the Ronin Network attacker has just transferred 5505.7 ETH out.”
The user also added that “according to OKLink, the relevant address has been transferred out 7 times since May 14, with a total of 23,525.5 ETH, and transferred to Tornado Cash at 100 ETH per transaction.
It was used to connect the Ronin Network with the Ethereum mainnet. In the end, $622,000,000 worth of Ethereum and USDC stablecoins were stolen. It was not discovered until March 29, even though the breach took place on March 23.
