(Reuters) – Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zeleskiy’s story – from comic to war-time leader — has been graphically adapted in TidalWave Comics’ latest biography “Political power: Volodymyr Zilenskyy.”

This 22-page glossy will be released Friday. It tells the story about how Zelenskiy was once a fictional president on TV. He promised to end the war in Ukraine with Moscow-backed separatists. When he became the country’s sixth President, Zelenskiy had little political experience.

What makes him tick? Why is he so special? What makes him the best leader for Ukraine right now? These are the questions I was interested in when I began the research,” wrote Michael Frizell.

Pablo Martinena is also a biographer on Nelson Mandela and David Beckham.

U.S. publisher Darren G. Davis stated in a statement that “This book is very important to me due to my Ukrainian heritage.”

Both sets of grandparents came from Ukraine. “I wanted this medium to share a story and to also donate somehow to the cause.

The International Red Cross will get a percentage of all sales proceeds.
