Investing.com – U.S. stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

UnitedHealth Group Incorporated was among the top performers during the session. They rose 1.52%, or 7.17 points, to trade at 478.55 by the closing. Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:) fell 13.73%, or 6.64 points, to trade at 41.72 by the closing. Travelers Companies Inc (NYSE 🙂 lost 2.88%, or 5.02 points, to close at 169.30. Walmart Inc (NYSE 🙂 fell 2.74%, or 3.36 point to 119.07.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Synopsys Inc (NASDAQ:), which rose 10.25% at 300.52; MarketAxess Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:), which was up 7.0% to settle at 266.74 and Generac Holdings Inc. (NYSE:), which gained 6.62%, to close at 223.69.

They were among the most disappointing. Wearing Under Armour Inc C (NYSE;) was down 15.86% – 8.17 in late trading, Cisco Systems Inc: (NASDAQ:), which lost 13.73% and settled at 41.72. Under Armour Inc. (NYSE:), was also down 11.87% – 9.28 at the closing.

These were the top performers in the NASDAQ Composite NeuroMetrix Inc (NASDAQ) rose 76.28%, to 5.50 VivoPower International PLC (NASDAQ:), which was up 47.64% and settled at 1.58 Neuroone Medical Technologies Corp (NASDAQ 🙂 saw a 29.57% increase to 0.79.

They were among the most disappointing. Bright Green Corp (NASDAQ:), which fell 67.35% to 15.70 during late trade Visionary Education Technology Holdings Group Inc (NASDAQ) lost 39.00% and settled at 3.05 Molecular Data Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell 27.50% to 0.10 by the end.

The June delivery of Gold Futures was up by 1.29%, or 23.47 to $1839.37 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil rose 1.87 percent or 1.90 to $108.94 per barrel. The July Brent oil contract rose 2.11 or 1.93% to $111.22 per barrel.

EUR/USD increased 1.14%, to 1.06; USD/JPY decreased 0.35%, to 127.78.

At 102.89, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.93%.
