Martin Sorrell is the founder and chairman at media company S4 Capital. He believes that the conflict in Ukraine could benefit three of America’s largest tech companies.

Sorrell said Monday that he was bullish about tech giants because of the impact war would have on them. Sorrell spoke to CNBC during the World Economic Forum in Davos.

He added: “The big three — Google (or Alphabet), MetaAnd Amazon — will benefit, I think, as a result of the war.”

Sorrell explained that defense means both cyber defense as well cyber offense. Technology and technological companies are therefore very important.”

Sorrell did not say how Alphabet and Meta could be benefited from it, however, all three companies claim that their cyber security systems have the best in the world.

Amazon and Google also offer cloud computing infrastructure which governments can use for cyber warfare.

CNBC reached out to Google, Amazon, and Meta for comments but they did not respond immediately.

Hackers on both sides are attacking the national infrastructure of each other, as well as governments, citizens, and government offices in Ukraine.

Major tech stock prices have fallen sharply over the past few weeks due to concerns about rising inflation and rising interest rates, as well as the possibility of a global economic recession. This is the Nasdaq stock market declined 3.8% last week, falling for a seventh straight week. The tech-heavy index is on its longest losing streak in 21 years.

When Sorrell was asked if there is a new dot-com bubble in the world, Sorrell replied that there has been an “massive correction” and added that there may be another correction of 5–10%.
