REUTERS/Arnd WiegmannBERLIN, (Reuters) – The European Union is likely to agree on an embargo for Russian oil imports “within a few days”, German Economy Minister Robert Habeck said on Monday. ZDF was broadcasting the announcement.
Habeck cautioned that the Kremlin would not be affected by an embargo as increasing oil prices allowed it to make more money while selling less.
According to him, the other consideration was to not pay oil “any price”, but to set upper limits. To make this work, though, several countries will need to join the fray.
