SpaceX president defends Musk against sexual misconduct allegation

(Reuters] – SpaceX President Gwynne Shootwell defended Elon Musk from a sexual misconduct claim that he denied. CNBC on Monday.

Last week, Business Insider reported that Musk’s private rocket firm SpaceX spent $250,000 to resolve a claim of sexual harassment from an unidentified flight attendant alleging that Musk exposed himself to her.

According to the CNBC report, Shotwell sent an email last week to employees saying that “Personally I believe the allegations to be false”

Musk, SpaceX’s CEO, denies harassment allegations and calls the person making the claims a fool.

Business Insider quoted an anonymous source who claimed she was the friend of the flight attendant. According to the article the friend had given a statement during the private settlement process.

SpaceX and Shotwell were not available for comment immediately.
