WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden was briefed Tuesday on the Texas school shooting that left 14 victims and one teacher dead. White House press secretary Karine Jean Pierre said she had been briefed and would speak on Tuesday evening.

Biden said that she would continue to receive regular updates as new information became available.

Biden was on Air Force One, returning from an Asia trip when the shooting occurred.

Jean-Pierre shared that Jean Pierre’s prayers go out to the affected families and would speak the evening when he returns at the White House.
