VATICAN CITY (Reuters), Pope Francis Wednesday expressed his sorrow at the Texas school shooting that left at least 19 students dead and 2 teachers injured. The Pope called for stricter weapons control.

His appeal was applauded by the crowd in St. Peter’s Square, a day following the worst school shootings in America in almost a decade.
