BEIJING (Reuters] – China’s industrial enterprises saw their profit rise 3.5% from January-April last year, compared to the same time last year. The growth was lower than the 8.5% annual rate recorded in January-March according to the National Bureau of Statistics on Friday.

The data revealed that industrial profits fell by 8.5% in April.

Data were collected from firms that have an annual income of at least 20 million yuan (3.1 million USD) through main operations.
