Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

Tokyo closed with a rise of 0.66%.

They were the top performers at the session Nikon Corp. (TYO): The stock rose by 7.25%, or 108.00 points, to close at 1,598.00. Meanwhile, Nippon Yusen K.K (TYO:), an additional 6.40% or 680 points, to bring the total up to 11,310.00 Toyota Tsusho Corp. The (TYO) traded up 5.31%, or 245.00 points, to 4,855.00 late trade.

USD/JPY fell 0.02% at 127.11 while EUR/JPY rose 0.2% at 136.64.

At 101.61, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.25%.
