TOKYO, (Reuters) – Japan Toyota Motor (NYSE 🙂 Corp slashed Friday’s global production plans for June by about 50,000 to 800,000 due to Shanghai’s lockdown.

Japan’s most important automaker claimed it did not change its production estimate for 9.7 millions vehicles in the current fiscal year. However, it stated there were “possibilities that the production plan might be lower”.

According to the automaker, some domestic plants would be closed for one week in June 6.
