BERLIN, (Reuters) – Europe might face fuel shortages due to tightening oil markets this summer, Fatih Birol, head of International Energy Agency, said in Germany’s Spiegel.

The fuel demand for gasoline will go up when there is a main holiday season starting in Europe, the U.S. and elsewhere. Birol stated that there could be shortages of fuel, such as petrol, diesel and kerosene in Europe.

Birol warned, in addition to warning that the energy crisis is “much larger” than those of 1970s oil shocks, and would last for longer.
