WASHINGTON (Reuters] – U.S. Deputy Treasury secretary Wally Adeyemo indicated Tuesday that the Biden government is looking at whether to cut some Trump-era tariffs from Chinese goods, but has to weigh short-term price cuts against the long-term objective of eliminating unfair competition for U.S. businesses.

Adeyemo said in an interview that he was actively considering the options regarding tariffs. The president has committed to doing all he can to lower costs. That is what I think is the most important thing that every American should know.”
