This is according to the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions.
Minister Carolyn Bennett stated that “eliminating penal penalties for individuals who possess small amounts illicit drugs for their personal use will reduce stigma and damage and provide British Columbia with another tool to end the overdose epidemic.”
