Victoria’s Secret & Co (NYSE:) shares were trading around 8% higher after-hours following the company’s reported Q1 results, with EPS of $1.11 coming in better than the consensus estimate of $0.83. According to the consensus estimate, 4.5% of annual revenue rose to $1.48billion.

Martin Waters, Chief Executive Officer commented: “Against the background of substantial global headwinds. We delivered sales results that were at the high end our guidance range. And better than expected adjusted earnings for diluted shares.

According to consensus estimates of $1.19, the company anticipates Q2/22 earnings per share in the $0.95-$1.25 range. It expects that sales for the second quarter of 2022 will increase in low single digits and decrease in low single digits, as compared with last year.

Martin indicated that Martin’s company is well prepared to tackle macro problems through marketing and merchandise that delights its customers, as well as new business initiatives to increase our customer base and expand sales. Martin also stated that financial management was a disciplined process.
