Eight automakers adopt U.S. EV fire response recommendations -Breaking

(Reuters) – Eight electrical automobile producers have adopted a U.S. Nationwide Transportation Security Board (NTSB) advice to enhance emergency response guides and incorporate vehicle-specific data for preventing lithium-ion EV battery fires.

Honda, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Porsche, Proterra, Belgian producer Van Hool, Volkswagen (ETR:) and Volvo have efficiently accomplished the actions requested for within the NTSB advice. NTSB issued the advice in January 2021 to 22 EV manufacturing and mentioned 12 together with Ford, Common Motors (NYSE:), Tesla (NASDAQ:) and Toyota are making progress on steps recognized within the advice.
