BEIJING (Reuters – China’s defence Ministry said Monday that Canadian military aircraft have increased their reconnaissance of China and made provocations towards it, posing a risk to its national security.

Canada’s provocative behavior was opposed, the ministry stated.

Wu Qian spoke for the Chinese defense ministry and said that the Chinese took appropriate measures to address Canada’s actions, as well as made’solemn representations via diplomatic channels.

Last week, Canada’s military accused Chinese warplanes harassing it patrol planes as they observe North Korea sanctions evasions. Sometimes the Canadian planes are forced to deviate from their flight paths.
