WASHINGTON (Reuters). President Joe Biden used the Defense Production Act Monday to encourage U.S. solar panel production. The White House also announced that he exempted for two consecutive years tariffs on four Southeast Asian nations’ solar panels as part of his drive for clean energy.

This tariff waiver is applicable to panels from Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. It will act as a bridge while U.S. manufacture ramps up.
