Investing.com – Australia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

Perenti Global Ltd., which gained 10.07% (or 0.07 points), to trade at 0.76 by the end of the session. Meanwhile, Inghams Group Ltd (ASX) added 3.20%, or 0.09 points, to finish at 2.90 Ampol Ltd Late trade saw an ASX increase of 2.42%, or 0.85 point to 36.00

Zip Co Ltd (ASX) was the worst performer of the session, falling 14.38% or 0.11 point to close at 0.66. Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (ASX) lost 6.71%, or 1.07 points, to close at 14.87. Kogan.com Ltd. (ASX) fell 6.65% or 0.24 to 3.37.

The Sydney Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stock by 1105 to 347, and ended the day unchanged at 377.

Zip Co Ltd (ASX) shares fell to their 3-year lows, falling 14.38% (0.11 to 0.66). Ampol Ltd. (ASX) shares rose to their 3-year highs, gaining 2.42% (0.85 to 36.00). Kogan.com Ltd. ASX: shares dropped to 3-years lowest levels, down 6.65% and 0.24 to 3.37

The August Gold Futures were up 0.2% or 4.50, to $1.848.20 per troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 0.41 or 0.35 to reach $118.91/barrel in July, and August Brent oil, which rose 0.24 or 0.29, to trade at $119.80/barrel.

While AUD/USD was steady at 0.72 to 0.72, AUD/JPY was up 0.64% from 95.43 to 95.43.

US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.9% at 102.54.
