AMMAN (Reuters) – The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces stated Tuesday that they will coordinate with Syrian government forces to fend off any Turkish invasion and defend Syrian territory.

According to them, the decision came following an emergency meeting with their top commanders in which they discussed Turkey’s threat of waging a new incursion on large swathes northern Syria under their control.
