NEW YORK (Reuters – U.S. Supreme Court justice Amy Coney Barrett joins the “Female Force Series” of TidalWave Comics. She is followed by Ketanji brown Jackson, who was the last appointee.
Barrett’s 50-year-old story begins at her U.S. Senate confirmation hearing in 2020, before proceeding to her New Orleans childhood. This 24 page report details Barrett’s Catholic education, teaching years at Notre Dame Law School, and time as a law assistant for Justice Antonin Scalia of the U.S. Supreme Court. Donald Trump, a Republican ex-president, appointed Barrett to the court.
This glossy was released Tuesday and also includes Barrett’s family life.
Jackson, aged 51, will feature in a TidalWave Comic in the Fall. Jackson, 51, was confirmed by the Senate to be the Supreme Court’s first Black woman. She was appointed by President Joe Biden as a replacement for retiring Justice Stephen Breyer. Jackson will join the court when Breyer officially leaves the court at the end of the current term. This is expected to happen in the next few weeks.
The series “Female Force,” which highlights strong and independent women involved in politics today, is called the “Female Force”. Current Justice Sonia Sotomayor (the court’s first Hispanic judge) and the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg make up the titles of the company.
