Pernod Ricard banking on digital push to boost growth -Breaking

PARIS (Reuters). – French spirits group Pernod Ricard (EPA:) Wednesday’s statement stated that EPA was focusing on digital initiatives and its high-end brand portfolio as well as its distribution network in order to increase sales growth.

Pernod is behind the second largest spirits group in the world. Diageo LON:) stated that it plans to achieve an annual organic growth of 4-7% over the medium-term.

Pernod (whose brands include Mumm champagne, Martell cognac, and Absolut vodka) reiterated its desire to improve operating margins by 50-60 basis point per annum, subject to achieving 4-7% organic growth annually.

The company said that digital projects would involve more use of data to help predict customer behavior and trends in the industry.

Pernod Ricard will host a Capital Market Day on Wednesday.
