Japan service sector sentiment rises for 3rd month in May -govt -Breaking

TOKYO (Reuters – Japan’s service sector sentiment index rose to a third consecutive month in May. This is a sign that sentiment about Japan’s overall economy has improved, according to a Cabinet Office survey.

According to the survey, taxi drivers and other hotel employees, who are called “economy observers” due to their close proximity to retailers and consumers, their optimism about economic conditions rose 3.6 percentage points to 54.0.
