According to a report by the Washington Post Wednesday, Twitter’s (NYSE:) board will comply with Elon Musk’s demands for data on bot and spam accounts.
The article, citing people “familiar with the company’s thinking,” said Twitter will provide the internal data by allowing Musk access to its immense stream of data comprising more than 500 million tweets posted each day.
This move, if it is true, will put an end to the spat between Musk and the social network company. The deal was previously on hold with Musk threatening to terminate the agreement.
According to reports, access could be made as quickly as next week.
Musk and his legal team stated that the data stream was crucial because it would impact the company’s potential revenue from ad sales.
This article said that approximately 22 companies have paid to access the data. It includes real-time records of the tweets they send, their devices used for tweeting, and information about accounts.
