BEIJING, (Reuters) – China and the United States would be benefited by the removal of all tariffs on Chinese products, China’s commerce minister said Thursday. This comes after Janet Yellen, U.S. Treasury Secretary, stated that the Biden administration is looking to “reconfigure” tariffs.

“We are aware of the U.S. recent comments on reducing tariffs on Chinese imports. China has maintained a consistent and unambiguous position on the issue,” Shu Jueting (the ministry’s spokesperson) stated at a press conference.
