(Reuters] Warner Bros Discovery Inc. appointed a TelevisaUnivision executive as its senior manager for sports programming. This is the main business of the media giant.

Warner Bros. announced that Luis Silberwasser (previous President of TelevisaUnivision) will now manage billions in sports rights for the company and supervise content on its streaming platforms.

Silberwasser will be the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman at Warner Bros Discovery Sports, and report directly to David Zaslav.

The company, which recently completed its merger with AT&T Inc (NYSE:)’s WarnerMedia unit, currently owns rights to games from the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Baseball and NCAA Basketball in the United States.
