Musk Dementiously Denies Rumors That He is Interested In Buying OANN

By the Investing.com staff

Tesla (NASDAQ) CEO Elon Musk was quick to dismiss rumors that he was interested buying another media asset – One America News Network, a conservative news organization (OANN).

Robert Herring (OANN CEO) tweeted that the rumors were true. He said, “We just got a call [from someone very close to @elonmusk] telling us that he wanted to speak to us about @OANN’s purchase.”

Elon Musk responded an hour later, tweeting that he “only Twitter” and suggesting that he only wants to buy Twitter (NYSE:).

Musk reached an April deal to purchase Twitter for $44 billion (or $54.20 per shares), in a transaction that is still under consideration. Wall Street isn’t convinced that the deal will happen despite having the financing. This comes after similar company values have plummeted and Musk has been questioning the company about the bot activity.

Tesla shareholders will feel relieved to learn that Musk has not decided to pursue another media company. But it’s not known why Herring tweeted that Musk rumor. He may be trying to sell his network or create more interest.
