(Reuters) – A deal has been reached to guarantee that big businesses pay a minimum 15% tax rate and make it easier for them not to be taxed. This was announced Friday by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.

These are the first reactions to this accord.

OECD SECRETARY GENERAL MATHIAS COMMANN

“Today’s agreement will make international tax arrangements fairer and more efficient. It is an important victory for balanced and effective multilateralism.

FRENCH FRENCH FINANCE MINISTER BRUNO Le MAIRE

“This deal is a step towards a fiscal revolution.

U.S. TREASURY SECRETARY JANET YELLEN

“We’ve turned tireless negotiations into decades of increased prosperity – for both America and the world. Today’s agreement represents a once-in-a-generation accomplishment for economic diplomacy.”
