U.S. decides not to pursue charges against police officer over Jacob Blake shooting By Reuters

(Reuters) – The U.S. Justice Department announced Friday that it would not seek federal civil rights criminal charges against a Kenosha police officer. He was accused of his role in August 2020’s shooting death Jacob Blake. Blake is a Black man, who had been shot several times by officers in the back.

Blake suffered paralysis from his waist down. This incident set off days of protests across the country against racism and police brutality in Blake’s hometown.
