BEIJING, (Reuters) – Japanese carmakers Honda Motor Co Ltd, Nissan (OTC) Motor Co Ltd Toyota Motor (NYSE) Corp’s September sales plunged in China as a result of a chip shortage that hampered car production in China, the biggest market for automobiles.

Nissan reported that it sold 104 443 cars. This was 26% less than the previous pandemic and cross-industry shortages.
Toyota reported that it had sold 115,000 vehicles, down 36%
