U.S. administers 403.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines

(Reuters) – The United States had distributed 488,178.975 COVID-19 doses and administered 403,576,826 COVID-19 doses as of Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

These figures represent an increase from the 401.819.240 vaccine doses that, according to the CDC, had reached arms as of Oct.9, out 487.277.035 doses.

According to the agency, 217,403,897 individuals had at least received one dose and 187,714,829 were fully vaccinated by 6:00 AM. ET Tuesday

The CDC tally also includes vaccines of two doses Moderna (NASDAQ:) and Pfizer/BioNTech, as well as Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:)’s one-shot vaccine.

Around 8.55 Million people were given a boost dose of either Pfizer Moderna’s vaccination (NYSE:), since the U.S. authorization of a third dose to people who have compromised immunity systems and are less protected by the existing two-dose vaccines on Aug. 13.
