WHO panel on origins of new pathogens includes Wuhan probe members By Reuters

GENEVA (Reuters), The World Health Organisation has proposed that 26 people form its Scientific Advisory Group for the Origins of New Pathogens. These include many who participated in the World Health Organisation’s mission to Wuhan, China to find the source of the SARS/CoV-2 virus coronavirus.

The statement identified the 26 potential members before the two-week public consultation period. These included Marion Koopmans (Thea Fischer), Hung Nguyen and Hung Nguyen.

Last August, the WHO issued a request for proposals. It stated that it wanted to find the best scientific minds for advice on new high-threat disease vectors. These pathogens can jump from humans to animals and cause pandemics.
