Shopify enlists Microsoft, Oracle for business tools on app By Reuters

(Reuters) – Shopify Canada, a Canadian e-commerce platform (NYSE 🙂 Inc teams up with leading cloud companies like Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ: Oracle Corp (NYSE:) To help merchants optimize their business operations.

Business owners who use the Shopify app can now have access to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This includes Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Infor.

They used to have to use third-party software to link to Shopify to access their ERP tools which included financial trackers and inventory management systems.

Shopify offers infrastructure to retailers for setting up online stores. It also generates revenue mostly through subscriptions or merchant services.

Shopify will be able to double its merchant business and Oracle and Microsoft will have a stronger hold in a cloud market that is dominated by Amazon.com Inc’s AWS platform.
