U.S. congressional panel probing Jan 6 Capitol riot sets Bannon contempt vote date By Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters] – A U.S. House of Representatives committee investigating the fatal Jan. 6, 2016 attack at the Capitol announced on Thursday that they would hold a business meeting Tuesday in order to adopt a contempt resolution against Steve Bannon. Bannon was a longtime adviser to Donald Trump.

Bannon refused to cooperate, the committee stated.

“The Select Committee will never tolerate defiance to our subpoenas. So we must proceed with proceedings to refer M. Bannon for criminal contempt,” Representative Bennie Thompson, the Democratic chair of the committee, stated in a release.
