Tellurian Energy’s (NASDAQ) shares and Cheniere Energy’s (NYSE) stocks are both well positioned to maintain their impressive run in the future quarters. What stock is the best to buy? Tellurian Energy (TELL) has seen a 16% and 10% price surges, respectively since September 15. Both stocks have also outperformed the broader markets so far this year—Tellurian is up 176% in price while Cheniere Energy has gained 75% year to date.

The U.S. natural gas price spiked to a new multi-year peak in recent years. It also increased in many other regions around the world, such as Europe and Asia. This was an important driver for higher stocks prices of TELL and LNG. This increase can be explained by a variety of factors including the lower production caused by the pandemic as well as the effects of Hurricanes in Gulf of Mexico that hampered production.
