Biden administration asks U.S. Supreme Court to block Texas abortion law By Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters] – Monday’s request by President Joe Biden to the U.S. Supreme Court for a blockade of a Texas law that imposes a quasi-total ban upon abortion was made after a lower court restored the Republican-backed measure.

Administration requested that the Supreme Court reverse an earlier decision of the New Orleans-based 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals lifts an order of a judge blocking the law, while ongoing litigation is over the matter.
