Negotiations on $3.5 trillion U.S. investment bill making progress -Schumer By Reuters

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Negotiators for a huge U.S. bill to invest as much as $3.5 trillion in social programs and combat climate change have made significant progress over the past days but still haven’t reached a deal, U.S. Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer stated on Monday.

Schumer (a Democrat) said that he had many productive discussions with legislators and the White House over the weekend. He added that “we still have work ahead of us.” He didn’t predict when or whether a deal might happen.
