Bank of NY Mellon reported Tuesday on Tuesday its third quarter results that exceeded analysts’ expectations and generated revenue above their expectations.

Bank of NY Mellon reported earnings per share of $1.04 based on revenues of $4.04B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted EPS at $1.01 for revenue of $4.04B.

Bank of NY Mellon shares have risen 59% since the start of the year. However, they are still down 1.00% from their 52-week high of $57.99 on October 18. The Bank of NY Mellon shares are performing better than the Nasdaq, which has risen 16.55% since the beginning of the year.

The Bank of NY Mellon report comes after JPMorgan reported an earnings beat on October 13th, reporting EPS of 3.74 per cent on $30.44B in revenue. Forecasts were for EPS of 3 on $29.79B revenue.

UnitedHealth beat all expectations with a third quarter earnings per share of $4.52 on $72.34B in revenue, as compared to a forecast of EPS at $4.42 for $71.38B.
