In the recent World Blockchain Summit, we’ve met with Mohammed Saleem, the Founder of the event. His thoughts on the WBS Dubai success and how it turned out were shared by him. He believes in the power of blockchain to improve the lives of all people. Here’s the interview.

Q. Q.

Mohammed Saleem, my name. I’m the founder of the World Blockchain Summit. The World Blockchain Summit was founded in 2017. I’m also the founder of Trescon, which organizes the world blockchain summit. That’s what I do.

Q. Q.

I feel it’s a tremendous response from God because we have not hosted a physical event for the last 18 months. Since the pandemic, this is the first event after the pandemic, and we’ve seen I mean, it’s very encouraging for us to see such an amount of responses because we were almost sold out with the tickets were sold out with all the tables, sponsor booths, everything was literally sold out. We had an incredible response. There were great speakers and investors.

Q. Q. Do you have comments or questions about Dubai? What’s your opinion about Dubai becoming the next blockchain hub?

Dubai has become the hub for blockchain technology, as everyone in this business is moving there. In the past few years, I have seen a lot people working in the blockchain industry moving to Dubai and setting up office there. This is because Dubai is the right place, despite the current pandemic. It is an open place. These physical events happen. You could count on more than 50 events taking place in the blockchain space. If you’re in the blockchain industry, Dubai is your best bet. You know, that’s what I say.

Q. A. Some countries have been very hostile to Bitcoin. However, there are some countries that support. Are there any thoughts?

Changes are subject to restrictions and regulations. Governments must regulate the process so that it is legal. Everything is within the legal framework. Dubai has begun to work towards this goal. They have not yet made it legal, but I don’t think so. They may still be trying to make it legal. They haven’t said no or yes. Although a majority of governments try to surprise us by creating regulations, I think it will take time before everything evolves and we might move towards a decentralized world.

Q. Are there additional signs we should be looking for? Which other evidence can you be found next year?

We have the World Blockchain Summit in our program, as the global market is gradually opening up. Events are planned for Canada and Singapore. We are also planning to host an event in Spain, Croatia or Las Vegas. We’ve signed a deal with the Melbourne Convention Center to host an event in September in Melbourne, Australia. Next year will be an exciting year for World Blockchain Summit. Again, we’re gonna tour across the world, like how we did in 2017, 2018, and 2019, before the pandemic head-on. Every year, we host 10-12 events in various countries around the globe.
