BANGKOK, (Reuters) – The central bank of Thailand said Thursday that it would relax rules regarding the issuance housing loans to buyers in order to help a sector of property which has been hit hard by the effects of the pandemic.

According to officials, the sector’s real estate activity is not likely to stabilize until 2025. According to them, the ratio of loan to value would rise to 100% for all new loans and will increase to 90% on existing loans by year’s end.
