Intel (NASDAQ.) announced Thursday its third quarter results. It beat analysts’ predictions and generated less revenue than expected.

Intel posted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.71 for revenue $18.09B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted EPS at $1.11 on $18.24B revenue.

Intel shares rose 12% over the course of 2018, but still fell 18.14% from its 52-week peak of $68.48 on April 12. They have outperformed the Dow Jones, which has risen 16.32% since the beginning of the year.

Intel is following other significant Technology industry earnings this month

Intel’s earnings report comes after Taiwan Semiconductor reported an earnings beat on October 14th, reporting EPS at $1.07 per share on revenues of $14.75B. This compares to the forecasts of EPS at $1.04 for revenue of 14.81B.

Danaher exceeded expectations Thursday by posting a $2.39 third-quarter EPS on revenues of $7.23B. That compares with the $2.14 forecasted for revenue of $7B.
