U.S. gets consent decree in harassment suit against owners of Minneapolis rental properties -Breaking

(Reuters) – The U.S. Justice Department announced that it had obtained a consent order with Reese Pfeiffer, and other defendants, to settle allegations that Pfeiffer violated Fair Housing Act (FHA). According to the FHA, Pfeiffer subjected 23 women to repeated and severe sexual harassment at Minneapolis residential properties.
In a statement, the Justice Department explained that “Under the consent decree the defendants must pay in total $736,000 in damages to 23 victims of the sexual harassment or retaliation” and also a $14,000 civil penalty.
